camel tour at ribfest in Indianapolis
Post Credited to American for Non smoker rights, thanks Karla Schlensker Sneegas for noticing.
Tobacco giant R.J. Reynolds was in full force in Indianapolis this weekend with their Camel Tour pavilion at American Rib BBQ Festival. They were busy trying to get Hoosiers up for their database inside a trailer full of iPads, snazzy Camel art, and a gaggle of lovely ladies and gents. Tobacco companies are spending massive amounts of money trying to increase sales of their deadly products. This is an example of why it remains vital for states like Indiana to maintain full funding for tobacco prevention and cessation programs – and to enact smokefree laws. The only thing that should be smoked at Rib Fest is the meat.

In the new trailer for the upcoming fourth season of Jersey Shore, a pack of Marlboros cozies up to The Situation. Yet when we contacted Philip Morris to ask about the product placement of the pack of Marlboros, particularly when the series has blurred other brands in the past, we were told by the cigarette maker, “It’s not our product.”
